Has the Department of Justice finally figured out how to prosecute Wall Street bankers? They think they may have.
The Justice Department admitted late last week that theyve been approaching Wall Street crime the wrong way. That comes as a shock to approximately zero people in the U.S., as anyone whos read the news in the last 7 years knows that the DOJ is completely useless when it comes to prosecuting white collar banking criminals.

(55,981 posts)They had their conspiracies well planned and ready to execute. While the Democrats were standing around with their fingers up their noses, the Republcons marched ahead. The Iraq War and the Patriot Act plus many other anti-democratic policies and laws were rammed thru.
But when Barack Obama took office were the Democrats ready? They appear to have been caught flat footed. Now, almost 8 years later they say they are figuring out a plan to hold banksters accountable. What next? Maybe a plan to close Gitmo.
But they best hurry if they are going to start holding the banksters accountable. Should either Clinton or Bush gain the presidency, the plan will go out the window.
