It was hard enough just having to do that first dance!

(602 posts)more times than I like at what I had thought were gatherings of friends and family. Granted, most of the performances weren't professional quality. But really, some people just can't get off the stage.

(41,864 posts)I been looking on line and saw various uses of bars, but the carpet appears to have no bar that would extend up his leg or attach to a brace on his back.

(26,296 posts)Perfect for that very clever performance. But, I agree, this wedding reception showmanship is kind of getting a little over the top.

(38,328 posts)... let them be.
And let be too the people who choose to have very simple weddings because they enjoy the simple things of life.
It's disturbing in this society how we are taught to literally buy our way into lifestyles that do not reflect the true needs and desires of our inner selves.

(26,296 posts)I did see one video where the bride and groom did a zip line entrance and crashed into each other. And one involving sky diving that just didn't end well. So, dancing and magic tricks are, at least, semi catastrophe resistant.
I used to watch 'Bridezillas' and also noticed that these performance rehearsals can be more traumatic than a broken bone. So, good one for those who can pull them off as brilliantly as this couple managed.

(590 posts)I'm sure guests were not disappointed. I give them lotsa kudos for being original and classy. No one expects us regular muggles to do that, btw.
