The anti-gay Westboro Baptist Church (WBC), has come out swinging at Rowan County Clerk, Kim Davis, who failed to issue marriage licences to couples following the US Supreme Court’s ruling legalising same-sex marriage throughout the US.

Rather than back Davis for her stand, the church has started a campaign against her, saying she is just as sinful as the gay people she is trying to prevent from wedding. The reason? Davis is a three-time divorcee.

In a series of heated Tweets the church has labelled Davis an adulteress.
