What do you think would happen if voters did not get to see candidate names on a ballot, but only their top 5-10 positions?
Candidates would have to clearly define their positions, which is pretty novel. Then they'd have them in writing, and not have as much a chance to bend them later to satisfy the big donors (but who am I kidding?)
The results would be much more interesting. Candidates who are being ignored by the media would have a better shot, and voters who have not been paying attention would make better decisions.
