and I was really struck listening to Hitler's speeches by how stylistically similar they were to the ones Bush was giving at the time...
Triumph of the Will was from before the war, and there was a period during which Hitler was solidifying his power where he toned down the anti-semitism because the public wasn't supporting it. As I remember, the speeches he gave in Triumph of the Will don't address the Jewish Question at all. Bush was more like the toned down Hitler from Triumph of the Will- Trump is the later version- where he does start talking about the Jews again.
