Republicans Use Carly Fiorina To Sell Sexist B.S.

If there’s one thing the Republicans have learned, it’s that the best way to push an anti-woman agenda is to use a woman’s voice to do it. And the perfect woman for the job, in the GOP’s eyes, is Carly Fiorina. And she’s already orchestrating her anti-woman crusade.

Ring of Fire’s Mike Papantonio and Farron Cousins discuss this.

They interrupted the beginning of the debate so that Megyn Kelly could trumpet loud and fulsome praise for the GOP's missing only female candidate, saying the men should "thank their stars" Fiorina had been relegated to the 5 p.m. second-tier debate and wasn’t standing onstage with them now. "It’s a good thing Carly Fiorina isn’t here!” Kelly said. “She unleashed a CAN earlier tonight!"

That was duly followed by a crowd of Fox spinners, like Wallace, Krauthammer, et everyone, reporting that she blew people away with her awesome performance earlier. The initial take was that she and Rubio both stood out by doing better than the rest, but now the national press group-think is that Fiorina ran away with the prize, resulting in a major manufactured bump in her ratings. Not that they have to worry she could actually win. As for poor, discarded Rubio? He's probably wishing he could launch a few cans.

There is no shame. This man is laughable. I don't know about the malpractice lawsuit story, but just listening to him tells me he's another stooge for fox-nonsense and the gop propaganda machine.
I occasionally listen to reich wing radio, on my way to and from the gym a few times a week, and it's amazing. Mr. 9-9-9 and vannity have such dolts that call in. Often they sound like my older reich wing sisters - no brains, no depth of information; but they like this black surgeon guy because "he makes so much sense"? Seriously? Be more specific. "More sense" about what? Nothing.

The guy is simply "a prop", just like scrawny, wicked witch of the east, fiorina. The gop found someone to address the black question, and believe me - there are LOTS of black callers that identify with him...I'm guessing because he's black. It's really sad.

I believe way too many Americans...as in WAAAAY TOO MANY...are terribly ill-informed voters. Either they listen to fox-nonsense and reich wing radio EXCLUSIVELY, or they get NO information regarding these clowns. It's really sad.

I've tried to persuade my dumb ass older sister to at least listen to NPR, and anything else besides fox-nonsense; and she won't even consider it. She firmly believes ALL the rest of the news outlets and pundits are liars and "evil socialists" (not having any clue of what that means exactly). I visited my sister a few months back, and she has fox-nonsense blaring on the tv 24/7, or as long as they are awake; and my brother-in-law who is affected by Alzheimer disease in advance stage is sitting there with her, munch their lunch, drinking their coffee, and he's got his nose plugged into "killing Lincoln", which is just absurd.

Die off is the only answer for too many, and that's not even a realistic solution to the ignorance in this country. If the young don't get involved...THEY are going to be fook'd! ...along with you and me.

that used to be a liberal person, and then at the age of 20 she joined the air force and did an about-face. She married a extremist conservative man also from the air force and his views and opinions are really out there in rightwingland, and then suddenly, it's what she also thinks. Her thoughts, ideology, opinions, and views mirror his. Even to this day, she thinks bush was always right about everything. When my sister and I try to talk to her about anything progressive and liberal, she refuses to listen and completely shuts her brain off.

There's no trying to talk some sense into these people, they're steadfast and just won't listen to anything left wing. She even thinks Obama is Kenyan born and a Muslim.

Just too much to make this a short response, but his family are ultra-conservative right-wing tea-party christian zealots.

I just have to scratch my head and wonder what is going on, when people become so stubborn with their politics to where they don't want to hear anything that might contradict what they believe - especially when what the believe is so far out in fantasyland.

I can excuse most of them though, because I think they are afraid they are going to lose what they worked to save, and fox and "friends" have got them so messed up with their thinking; and rush limpballs has been pumped into our military bases around THE WORLD with his vitriolic hatred and garbage. I just bang my head against the wall.

I guess "you can lead a horse to water, but you can't make him drink" is the expression. I don't give up, as I'm sure you don't either; but it seems so hopeless. I wonder what will happen when Hillary gets in to the White House, or "heaven forbid" that "darned socialist". I think the misinformation and hatred is going to go on and on as long as fox-nonsense is recognized as anything other than a propaganda arm of the tea party and racist/evangelical lunatics on the right. God, I'm so glad I'm not a republican. I'd have to either give it up or put a bag over my head to go out in public.

I listen to the reich wingers here in Portland/Vancouver on the radio, and they are so pathetic. It just hurts my brain to take it seriously in the least. Yet many of my neighbors have rush blaring in their cars when they pull in the driveway. So sad. So very sad.

I've always said, since I started traveling when I was just 18 to Europe and other parts of the world, "America is really a nation of morons". I'm so ashamed of just how bull headed and ignorant a nation we are. I've been ashamed of 'the ugly tourists" when I came across them back in the 60's, and I'm so ashamed of our reputation around the world with how we are really the laughing stock of the free world today.

I think the saying in this case is: "You can lead a man to knowledge, but you can't make him think."

I stole that saying from another DUer's sig line.
