...that the only way the Muppets can come back is through such an overdone vehicle.

The Office with Muppets, set in a TV studio.

I'm sure it will be funny, but still...

I would bet Jim Henson and Lew Grade are both turning in their graves... there is a reason why the ATV produced Muppet Show is a classic. Lew Grade understood family puppet entertainment - i.e. not just for kids - as did Jim. American TV executives didn't. Muppets meets The Office... does Disney know what they are doing? I hope it works for the sake of the muppets...
