Republicans To History Teachers: “You Can Only Say America Is #1”

The Republican attack on education will never end, and they refuse to allow any American student to think that U.S. history is nothing less than grand and perfect. And now, after things were actually looking a little brighter for A.P. History courses, the College Board is giving in to the attack by dumbing down their course outlines.

Ring of Fire’s Mike Papantonio and Farron Cousins discuss this.

Doesn't seem like an appropriate comment on a website devoted to the democratic process.

bunch of cowardly white fucks downplaying slavery - which is part of the reason for the privilege of the dirty, cowardly, lazy, white fucks - are inappropriate?

Let me go a little further and add in all the spineless and servile taxpayers who make it possible - and who are going to send their hapless children in for this pack of lies, and then pretend they got the education that they think they did.

And then the parents can sit around and wonder why those POC still seem so uppity.

Dead, murdered victims of white oppression and racism on our streets and white folk sitting around lying to each other. That's what I call inappropriate.

I guess we have differing standards.

You know, this one: "Lazy ass Americans deserve every bit of pain this will bring them" -- though now you've clarified those who "deserve" the "pain."

Still, it's unclear whether you're clear on the subject of culpability.

6. You seem to be the one with the issue. I don't have one, and I say up front what I mean.

themselves. Most of the time they were already the "shitty" teachers or a coach that needed more of an income than just coaching. All they did was spill out the same Amer. Exceptionalism that they were getting fed. Sucks I bought it all hook, line, and sinker. That I think is what pisses me off the most. The fact that I was essentially lied to (withholding facts to fit a narrative is the same thing to me). And by the very people whom I put my complete faith that they knew what they were talking about.
