2. "Deniers" are not an excuse for the rest of us to do nothing

Many have been ringing the alarm bell for 15 years or more now. Without a call to action, the effect of more and more warnings is to lower expectations.

Imagine people saying 50 times 'the ship is sinking' and when you agree and ask where the lifeboats are they just say, again 'the ship is sinking.'

Energy spent on deniers is energy not used toward a solution. It may be fun and popular to call the opposition "stupid" but it doesn't solve the real problem.

5. Oh how I wish I had someone interesting to chat with like Mr Nye or Mr Tyson

Instead I face another day tomorrow grimacingly mute behind my mask in a group who wouldn't recognize a humorous jibe if ever said, have actual aspirations to elect Donald Frump to the presidency, and have nothing more interesting to discuss than then idiotic pictures of their grandchildren. I thank heaven when the doctor shows up to begin the surgery and they have to shut up. It's my job to simply provide happy service to them all...
But god I'll thank the heavens when I can get another bay area contract and leave relative idiotville in my rear view mirror.
