I didn't expect him to be doing so well. If he wins the nomination he could destabilize the whole system of institutional graft by ushering in a new era of democratic participation. Or go down in flames, besieged on all sides by a crazed opposition party, a resentful and treacherous party leadership that did not want him to win, and a world that leaps from one crisis to the next (yet never really solves any of them). from every damned direction, if he wins the nomination. We need to be aware of this and prepared. I've already seen the flying monkey brigade equating the brand of Democratic Socialism the Senator believes in, to that of Venezuela's late President, Hugo Chavez. Followed with the rhetorical question, "do we want that here in the US??" But you know what? Either one of our reported incidents are, actually, nothing compared to what's going to come down from the GOP if the Senator has the nomination. They were very good with their red baiting; entire Republican political careers were cornerstoned on their excellent red-baiting abilities, e.g., Richard Nixon.

It's a totalitarian system with State run capitalism. This is far, far away from true communism, which has NEVER been seen on Planet Earth. Not in the truest sense of the word.
