SANDERS: I Want an America Where Young Blacks are Not Harassed, Shot & Killed by Police, July 17

Sen. Bernie Sanders calls for an America where young black men can walk down the street with out being harassed, shot and killed by the police, at the Iowa Democratic Party Hall of Fame Dinner, July 17, two days before the Net Roots appearance July 19.
Here Sen. Sanders also praises Pres. Obama for recently visiting a federal jail and talking about the absurdity of a criminal justice system where if we don't change it, 1 out of 4 African American men born today will end up behind bars. That's why it makes more sense to invest in jobs and education than in jails and prisons, Sanders says.

The media and DU seem to have missed it.

And it happened before what happened at Netroots, but that got tons of attention.

Truth and reality can be found for sure, though M$M largely isn't helping because of what Bernie stands for in the campaign and his whole life. Here's to the SUMMER OF SANDERS!

I suspect that while the HRC campaign has a Koch-sized budget and is using all the right loopholes, like the way blogs aren't restricted or reportable means of campaigning (thus the "correct the record" page), and the twitter and the facebook stuff, they are going to find out that they will lose to the one thing money can't buy: the Bernie Mojo.

Bernie is genuine, not rehearsed, authentic, caring, doesn't need hundreds of paid "message-crafters".

to easily defeat deliberate false claims that he is unconcerned with blacks, PoC, immigrants and other charges manufactured to try to diminish his growing strength among the people. Bernie refrains from grandstanding and pushing his record of advocacy and involvement unlike many. He knows what's going on, every step of the way. Do Not Underestimate Bernie Sanders.

last Wed., July 22 at the $15 Minimum Wage Rally at the US Capitol. Hundreds of US Capitol and federal contract workers marched in DC from Constitution Ave. to the Capitol carrying signs that said, "$10.10 is Not Enough to Provide for My Family". Many employees take a second or third job to get by.
Costs in Washington, esp. housing are sky high like other major metro areas- L.A., SF, Seattle, Chicago, New York and even London where real estate prices and costs of living are soaring, and gentrification by the affluent is adversely affecting local residents, workers and neighborhoods.

Marching that day were predominantly black and Latino minority staff who are employed in federal govt. offices, buildings and facilities as clerks, cashiers, maintenance staff and landscapers. Some cook and serve meals to Senators and Congressmen in the US Capitol Building. The day of the Rally Sen. Sanders introduced a new bill for a $15 an hour NATIONAL Minimum Wage.

Sen. Bernie Sanders with Congressman Keith Ellison (MN-5th) speaking to hundreds assembled on the Capitol grounds.

"I WORKED AT THE US CAPITOL AND KFC. COLONEL SANDERS PAID ME MORE THAN UNCLE SAM". Sonita Bailey, a Capitol café cashier tells her story with tears to those gathered at the Rally while comforted by Sen. Sanders.

for more than 20 years as a Congressman and then Senator from Vermont. For decades he has forged strong relationships with other members of Congress from various states, regions and backgrounds. He is shown here at a Capitol gathering with Congress members Keith Ellison of MN, Barbara Lee of CA, Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas, Jan Schakowsky of IL, John Conyers of MI and Elijah Cummings of MD and others.

These US House of Representatives are mainly members of the Congressional Progressive Caucus (CPC) originally founded in 1991 by Bernie Sanders of VT, Ron Dellums of CA, Maxine Waters of CA, Peter DeFazio of VT and others. The CPC is currently chaired by Rep. Keith Ellison of MN and Rep. Raul Grijalva of AZ. Since its beginning in 1991 the Caucus has grown steadily, added 20 new members after 2005 and currently has about 70 members.
