recorder and the Company or FAA knew about it, I would have been fired and the cops would possibly have been there to arrest me.

3. Important safety announcement to all LAPD officers we would like to see in the near future.

Re: Video and audio equipment installed on police vehicle for the protection of our officers.

Due to the recent rash of vandalism concerning video and audio equipment on our patrol cars any officers that are assigned to a vehicle that does not have all of the standard and necessary safety equipment installed will be sent home without pay until we can assure the complete safety of our officers. Operation of a vehicle without all of it's safety equipment installed will necessitate said officer(s) to face disciplinary actions for violating safety procedures.

It goes without saying that any officers that observe any such vandalism being done to their or any official police vehicle must arrest the perpetrator. To show how seriously we take safety at the LAPD any failure to do so will result in severe punishment for any officer not complying with this directive.

As always LAPD will never compromise the safety of our officers and we thank you for your cooperation during these troubling times.
