Every time I hear that song, especially the original version, I get thrown back to a specific moment in time, right around the time Charles Manson was arrested. Three or four of us were tripping on acid, we were listening to that album, that song, and the TV was on, no sound, in the background. Suddenly there for the first time on the news - or at least the first time I saw it - was Charlie's face, the famous shot with the crazed look, the scary eyes. My trip took a downward turn for a bit, and the song was a perfect fit.

Isn't it funny how a particular song can bring back a clear, specific memory from decades ago?
