Building an airport workers’ movement

By Randy Croce, Workday Minnesota
July 5, 2015

MINNEAPOLIS--Workers at the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport have been organizing and winning victories in improved working conditions and higher pay since their campaign with SEIU Local 26 began in 2013.

Their efforts expanded through alliances with 15 Now Minnesota, CTUL worker center and many other organizations. Last month, they took a major step forward when the Metropolitan Airports Commission approved a $10 minimum wage at MSP.

The workers say they will continue fighting for a higher wage and improved conditions. This video, shot and edited by Labor Education Service producers Randy Croce and Howard Kling, documents their campaign over the last two years.
