worldwide, recognized the lies for what they were, when a Senator who had access directly to the truth actively chose to believe the lies? Call me a skeptic if you want, but I can't accept it.

Protests continued here in North Carolina (of all places) for over a Year after the Invasion and we had Thousands all over NC protesting against the Invasion to try to STOP IT. "Candle Vigils and Other Actions" when on in cities all over the Country for long after.

Who would believe this? Well I and others posted here about it and it is in the DU Archives with Photosl

It's HERE! ...and "MOVE ON.org's Petition" with Many Thousands delivered to the United Nations. It's here in DU Archives.

We TRIED! We who remembered Vietnam were hugely VOCAL...but So MANY YOUNGER....supported us in trying to Stop the Iraq Invasion and even the Aftermath.

Many of us are still here...coming and going...although some have passed on.

But it was REAL...the backlash against Iraq Invasion...because we KNEW...and we were Correct, sadly. We couldn't stop it. But, I'm proud of all of us who Participated!

She was afraid the war would be quick and easy and that she would be stigmatized for voting against a triumph. In other words, she was willing to gamble with other people's lives for the sake of her presidential aspirations. In fairness, she wasn't the only one to conduct that horrific brand of cost/benefit analysis.

thinking. Bernie did. Bernie saw through the lies.

It's really a matter of judgment and strength of character to follow through on what is right even when the rest of the world is going in another direction. She loses on both counts.

Nice lady. But she would not make a good president. It's sad, but that is the way it is.

Poor judgment. Can't independently analyze facts. Too little instinct for truth and right.

But how much easier was her decision being made by an influx of cash from the defense contractor lobbyists? OK - perhaps that's a little too jaded and cynical. As has been said, HRC had access to the real facts if she wanted them, as did Bernie Sanders - and Barack Obama - but she chose to ignore them and hop on that terrible bandwagon towards that terribly unnecessary war, that colossal foreign policy blunder, probably one of the biggest, if not THE biggest in our nation's history, which continues to reap its bloody fruits even to this day.
