My first presidential vote was for George McGovern. That was my best, but I hope to bookend it with President Bernie Sanders.

(3,544 posts)And as I expected, his campaign was not top news anywhere. Unbelievable!!! This guy has enough balls to try to give the country back to the people, not the 1%. And now, our unbiased media ignores him completely. Have we all gone nuts? What he is attempting to do in unprecedented and exactly what we need. No one ever thought Obama would win, and he did. And then he won twice. He passed the ACA(which was monumental), and removed Bin Laden. That's by far more than I ever expected from his change promises. This country is very hungry for change. Change we all need to make this a better country to live in for our children and grandchildren. As it sits right now, and the fact that SCOTUS approved of Citizens United, the 1% is doing everything they can to buy the politicians that pass laws. Does anyone else out there see this as what has happened? Of course you can. If we don't get this reversed, and address the issues of the lower and middle class, millions of people will be placed in poverty.
Bernie IS THE ONLY ONE that will address the real issues that affect a large majority of people in this great land. Bernie is for change too. But at a much higher level than ANYONE has addressed before. I say we all jump on his bandwagon and give him a chance. He's my candidate, until someone proves me wrong!!! I don't expect that will happen.
