Maybe not political (or is it?), but what a meaningful part of every DUers life. Enjoy. I'll be there this coming Christmas (I hope).

(45,358 posts)If the art direction in the full feature is anywhere near what we've seen in the trailers, we're in for a real treat!

(6,241 posts)I remember playing Star Wars Galaxies back in the day. The game takes place sometime between episodes IV and V. Yavin still had Death Star parts all over the place. The Empire wasn't too big on enviornments. I don't know who is in charge during episode VII, but I seriously don't think anyone in charge is going to sweat one Star Destroyer on one planet.

(6,241 posts)I, II, and III had Lucas deeply involved. And everyone on the set was afraid to tell him "No". All the ideas were his. He's a great film maker. He can craft a beautiful image (like Vader getting the mask for the first time), no doubt there. But his problem is writing.
"I love you because you're beautiful."
"Maybe I'm beautiful because you love me."
But this new trilogy should be much better. JJ Abrams did awesome with Lost and Alias. I even liked the Star Trek movies he did. I have more faith in him than Lucas.

(21,478 posts)Thought it was third best, after The Empire Strikes Back and the original Star Wars. Tied the stories together really well, I thought.

(6,241 posts)was the best of the three. But that's not saying much. None of them was as good as Empire Strikes back. But that's because Empire had a different director.
There are youtube videos from a that spends over an hour pointing out how terrible the prequels are. His youtube channel is "Red Letter Media". He's funny and profane. Well worth the watch, even though he goes REALLY DARK during the reviews.

(18,470 posts)I think the life expectancy of the Wookies is on the order of several hundred years.
