I'm sure his ample build isn't meant to look like some east coast governor, or that his obeisance to his money interests isn't meant to look like 99.9% of all politicians. But sheer honesty gets quite a few brownie points. Hell, I would have voted for Pierre Salinger who, I believe, was quoted as saying that he had several girlfriends - that's the way it's done.
