The Wobblies Full Documentary

The "Wobblies" was a nickname for a radical labor union that was founded in 1905. Unlike other unions of the day, the IWW was open to all people--regardless of gender or ethnicity as they were a very democratic organization. This and their anti-war stances were admirable--especially in WWI when the US went to war for no particular reason

Corporations are back in charge of more and more.

So it was at this time period that the wealthy became cognizant of the fact that they could hire 1/2 the working class to kill the other half. Because at this time labor had no voice.

So when labor started to organize propaganda was spread to described them as being lawless. Today Walker describes them as enemies.

Striking workers brought in Marshall law. The militia was from Harvard, and they were called in, because as Bill Hayward said, the workers created the most violent crime, they cut off their labor, and let them weave cloth with bayonets.

The accounts from these people trying to partake in free speech is well noted. Take a good look at this folks because most of you will be working like this if your lucky enough to have a job after TPP is passed.

"Fighting for Free Speech with the Hobo Agitators of the Industrial Workers of the World"

Mother Jones Autobiography contains some accounts of those times as well.

Workers still need to learn to run and control the assets. They were trying to figure out how back then, and we still need to.

I was a member for over 40 years - no longer, since I’m retired and out of the workforce (the IWW has no provision for “retiree members” like some capitalist unions do). If you’re a worker (not a cop!) you’re welcome to join!

I'm proud of him and I let him know it. He says I inspired him, but doesn't thank me and swears his life would be easier if he was a conservative right wing asshole.
In his heart, he's a union man, from a long line of union men and women. Both my sons are.

Solidarity,
