(23,946 posts)Having said that, that was an incredibly vicious ad, a vicious and sinister ad that had nothing to do with politics, and was a blatant personal assassination of character by creepy secret voices of doom...American politics this is fair game? WTF?
What TV or radio station permits this kind of advertising to be aired? How much are they paid or intimidated to air it?
Freedom of speech? WTF? Is this Missouri, America?
The primary is in August, 2016, but it is like voters are made to believe it is next week.
The scary part is how it is now clear that the Missouri Republican Party and primaries are being run by a bunch of religious extremists and zealots that will never permit the nomination of a non-Christian.....America.....this is your Republican Party when religion melds with politics and the media still dance around the reality of it.

(1,555 posts)No death, especially one so expediently classified as suicide, should ever go without a thorough investigation.

(13,879 posts)It's the same thing Rove did in Texas labeling Ann Richards a 'lesbian'. The ad seemed like it could have been out of a '1984' movie.

(541 posts)From that void-of-any-substance radio ad (typical, empty rethug fear mongering and whistles) to Mr. Schweich's death.
I'd say a murder investigation should be underway as well. Also, and this is petty at this point, the creators of House of Cards should go after the creators of this b.s. ad. Probably pointless though-- there's probably nothing illegal about ripping off music and a Kevin Spacey-like intonation of Underwood.
