What Climate Deniers Learned from Big Tobacco

Above, the newest "This is Not Cool" video focuses on the backstory behind "Merchants of Doubt", the new documentary inspired by Naomi Oreskes' and Eric Conway's book of the same name. The centerpiece of the book is the story of how techniques of science denial perfected in the tobacco industry have been adapted to the broader war on inconvenient science.

for others, they are not. It's all a question of individual constitutional makeup and any allergic sensitivities or intolerances you may have. I would wager that you have gluten intolerance, Zebonaut, and you are seeing everything solely from your own personal perspective. But there's no question regarding human generated climate change, and the urgent need to do something about it. And that's bad for everybody.

This looks like an interesting documentary, and there have been other videos I have seen before, on this site and elsewhere, that focus on the connection between tobacco science and climate change denial. These professional doubt merchants are like vultures, just flying on to the next carcass, the next gravy train that offers them obscene financial rewards.
