(1,554 posts)He was the only news I watched. I feel lucky that I saw his farewell on his MSNBC show. I was floored and remember coming upstairs telling my wife he was done. She said I looked like I had just seen an accident. I was pretty shocked, to say the least.
We need his voice back, maybe Colbert's spot? Ha! That would be great tho!
And as a huge Tolkien fan, please don't call him Bilbo.
Bilbo saw serious battle action and was a hell of lot better writer than Mr. Loofa.
Thanks.

(23,946 posts)so as to avoid all mention of the rising, nay exploding, confidence in the economy and the
President at the helm of it....as commanded by the paymasters.
It is like no one is concerned about the economy anymore, so of course they switch to good old fashioned ever reliable scaring the shit out of folks to get the clicks and eyeballs.
I think folks are sick and tired of being lied into false fear after false fear, a day of reckoning is rapidly approaching for the Liar Media and their Liar Owners.

(5,751 posts)Grandiose narcissistic individuals expect anothers immediate and undivided attention, and are oblivious to the effect their direct demands of entitlement have on others. And, by virtue of their ability to maintain the grandiose self through self-enhancement, grandiose narcissistic individuals are less susceptible than their vulnerable peers to the chronic emotional consequences of threats to entitled expectations (e.g., distress, lowered self-esteem, interpersonal fearfulness).
The grandiosity section of the Diagnostic Interview for Narcissism (DIN) (Second edition) is as follows:[5]
The person exaggerates talents, capacity and achievements in an unrealistic way.
The person believes in his/her invulnerability or does not recognize his/her limitations.
The person has grandiose fantasies.
The person believes that he/she does not need other people.
The person overexamines and downgrades other people, projects, statements, or dreams in an unrealistic manner.
The person regards himself/herself as unique or special when compared to other people.
The person regards himself/herself as generally superior to other people.
The person behaves self-centeredly and/or self-referentially.
The person behaves in a boastful or pretentious way.

(10,575 posts)Olbermann attributes the lack of coverage to self-censorship by journalists. ''You can rock the boat, but you can never say that the entire ocean is in trouble,'' he said. ''You cannot say: By the way, there's something wrong with our electoral system.''
