"When a group of vandals decided to paint racist graffiti on a Hindu temple in the town of Bothell, Washington, they chose to add insult to injury with an image of a Swastika.

They presumably did not realise that the design has been an ancient and sacred symbol in Hindu culture long before it was misappropriated by the Nazis in 1920s Germany.

Members of the Hindu temple in Bothell arrived on Sunday morning to find a Swastika and the words "get out" scrawled on the building."

One of this ironic things that happened when ignorants use symbols they have no real clue about what is - even if it meant a whole different think in our culture - in the Hinduism tradition it meant happiness and long life - not destruction and murders as it did when fascists misappropriated already before the 1920s - it was misappropriated already in the late 1800s - as an "aryan" symbol - but got the reputation it got when Hitler in the late 1910s, deiced to put the symbol to represent the Nazi-Party - and fascism in germany...

And Hindues are not even muslims - so I guess the ignorant was double ignorant in this matter...

But ignorants are like that for the most part... And the worst is, they do not know their own ignorance even if pointed out..

The 45th Infantry Division felt that they should change their Division patch, it was probably a good idea.
