"An intrepid citizen journalist in Blount County, Alabama posted a video to Facebook on Wednesday reporting on the changes to his state after legalization of gay marriage.
With a handheld camera, "Redneck News" anchor Jeremy Todd Addaway walked viewers through his property to survey any possible damage after the state ended its ban on same-sex marriage.
"This pile of brush is still here, and there are no homosexuals layin' on top of it, doin' homosexual things," Addaway said."

(32,723 posts)The reason the crazy ones oppose it is because they actually believe Jesus and his Dad will no longer bless the USA and if THAT happens then the Rapture will leave them behind.

(45,984 posts)I waiting for a right wing moron to suggest to Mr. Addaway that the reason Mr. Addaway can't find two homosexuals doing "homosexual things" is because today they're doing it in the privacy of a honeymoon suite.
Or would we be giving any right wing moron too much credit that he would have the capability of thinking of something so obvious?
Kudos to Mr. Addaway. He seems to be my kind of redneck.

(2,560 posts)Amazingly, the country hasn't broken off from continental Europe and sunk into the Atlantic Ocean. It's a complete non-issue here.
I'm not familiar with the gentleman featured in the video. I live in The Netherlands and only hear about US politics and politicians through our local news programs, CNN, Jon Stewart and (sob, sob) Stephen Colbert. And, of course, DU. But this chap didn't come across to me as being against same-sex marriage. Am I misreading his comments?
