10. It's not really all that surprising to me...

Muslims believe that Jesus was a prophet, but not god. They follow more from Muhammad which they consider to be the last prophet that was on earth. The New Testament and the Koran both derive from the old testament though, which is the Jewish Torah.

Essentially Islam and Christianity both derive from Judaism, making them the very firsts sects.

That's my basic understanding of it.
