Glen Campbell's Final Song

I'm Not Gonna Miss You is nominated for Best Song at this month's Academy Awards. This is a sad and haunting song to his wife.

It reminds me of 2 women in my life who had (have) Alzheimers. My Grandmother died 7 years ago from complications related to her Alzheimers. Currently we are going through the pains of the disease with my Mother-in-Law, Dottie. One of her favorite singers was Glen Campbell. Next month we will visit her in the nursing home and I have a feeling I may bring this song for her to listen to.

Glen Campbell is currently in a Nursing Home himself. Here is a little bit about the documentary that includes this song:

Yes, he's had a long fruitful life, but still... How damned sad for those he leaves behind.
