DSCOVR Launches Aboard SpaceX Falcon 9

The SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket carrying NOAA’s Deep Space Climate Observatory spacecraft, or DSCOVR, lifts off from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station in Florida. DSCOVR is a partnership between NOAA, NASA and the U.S. Air Force, and will maintain the nation's real-time solar wind monitoring capabilities.

They'll try a virtual landing on the ocean though.

... thanks to the front/wind moving in. It's rare to get such a clear view all the way to fairing jettison, the rocket is out of the atmosphere & in space at that point & the ground camera still had a clear view.

I watched her go up from the back yard, as usual. Love the rumble, nothing like it.
