For him, those two terms are not mutually exclusive.

With all the Koch money, he should just bring along his own fake reporters to ask him questions about how great Wisconsin is doing under his watch.

Suppose you agreed to keep him, if in return we took somebody you want to offload. (At least each country would get some novelty value.) Whom would you suggest as a fair trade for Scott Walker?

refuse to answer any questions from any media except guaranteed friendlies and just hope nobody notices. (After her first few disasters with heavy hitters like Katie Couric, Sarah Palin didn't do interviews outside of Fox News until the debate, if I recall)

They need to actually be called out on this strategy. "IF you can't face (the lightweight media in the US), how can you stand up to Vladimir Putin or Xi Jinping or Kim Jong Un?"

Wed Feb 11, 2015, 03:19 PM
Feb 2015

The Chatham House event just ended, with Walker taking questions for more than 30 minutes. He laughed off any question related to foreign policy, saying "it wouldn't be polite" to talk about foreign policy in another country because he's "old fashioned". That knocked out about half the questions. He responded to most questions with his stock speech talking points- I don't think anyone was impressed.

The best question of all was the last one, asked by the host. Walker was asked if he believed in evolution. He refused to answer, to the shock of everyone in attendance.

Reagan busted the air traffic controller's union, and that scared the shit out of the Soviets and showed that they better not fool with Reagan. So said Walker in an interview a couple weeks ago. Walker busted all of the public employee unions in Wisconsin (except for the two that contributed to his campaign), showing that you had better not fool with Walker.

So, Walker = Reagan. Got it? That should be all the foreign policy creds he needs!

Walker Punts and Runs From Evolution Questioner in London

"A Pew Research Center poll last year found that 43 percent of Republicans believe humans have evolved over time, while 48 percent do not. The percentage of Republican voters who believe in evolution has dropped eleven points in four years, according to the survey.

Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker (R), speaking in London, “was asked by a British moderator if he believes in evolution. He chose not to answer,” National Journal reports.

Said Walker: “I’m going to punt on that one as well. That’s a question a politician shouldn’t be involved in one way or the other.”

While the corporate media get their panties all in a bunch about Brian Williams, but are blind to their own culpability in the Bush cabal invasion and occupation at work, then you have an idiot like Walker afraid to take questions from foreign press. Of course he would never get asked the difficult questions here by the corporate media.

England is apparently the foreign policy training wheels for these numbnuts. They speak English there, you know, and they're kinda almost related to America, and it's really far-away overseas, not like Canada, so it counts...and they'll be nice and show us around and won't ask too many questions because they know we don't actually know anything.

Here's a link to the complete Chatham House event. It begins with Walker's speech and then the questions begin, ending with his now famous refusal to answer the evolution question.

It's quite amazing that his handlers arranged for him to give a speech and take questions at Chatham House, the Royal Institute of International Affairs, only to instruct him to refuse to answer any questions about international affairs.
