Thanks for the link. Looking forward to having my daughters watch this.

I was just struck at the multiple ironies implied in the youtube algorithm that superimposed on the trailer an advertisement a stuffed animal gift for a "romantic" holiday that celebrates male sexual dominance over women. Yeesh.

Kinda says it all, doesn't it. Selling romantic getaways with Fifty Shades overtones. Yuk. The grab bot inserted that based on the word "sexual?"

All daughters --and sons-- should watch this documentary. But especially daughters. It's amazing how long this has been tolerated and covered up by universities. There is no assistance or recourse for these women anywhere. This Vanderbilt case result is historic.

The main point made in the film is that these are not merely campus frolics, but serious predatory crimes by repeat offenders that go completely unpunished in our society.

--it's a CNN sponsored film and it looks like it will go to theatres first. Probably later freely available.

Should be seen now--agree.

"it's a small group of men who are committing these rapes"!!! View "The Bro Code" to understand just how many young men have a salacious, accepting and/or dismissive attitude about rape. See how many young men are willing to blame rape survivors! See how MANY men would rape, if they knew they wouldn't get caught!

Every student who sexually assaults another student should be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law. Students should be safe in their dorm rooms, at any gatherings, and everywhere on campus!

is that "rape culture" on campuses is no myth. While roughly 6-8% of college men commit sexual assault (the preference being for intoxicated women of course) -- many, many students and administrators are looking the other way and are therefore complicit.

Universities have got to own this, provide a solution. Barbara Boxer and others have introduced federal legislation to increase protections and recourse for victims at colleges.

Until there are more prosecutions, nothing will change this situation--a national shame.
