And what makes them so slippery and slimy is that they have greased themselves down with tar sands crude! To the notion of Semantics, I would also like to add the dimension of Sophistry as well. Their playbook has been written for them by the tobacco scientists of yesteryear.

You can use tobacco science, semantics and sophistry to play havoc with established scientific evidence and consensus until doomsday when it comes to the whole issue of global warming. However, it should be clear as day, and irrefutable, that the oil companies have a terrible environmental record when it comes to oil spills and cleaning up their messes, and that this plays havoc with our drinking water. And after all, how long can a person survive without water to drink?
