Rollie the Armadillo Loves His Toy

Rollie the armadillo is really, really, really … really … cute. His rolls, pounces and little stature make him irresistible for any animal lover. Watch Rollie have a ball with his pink toy during armadillo play time.

The oldest (By 2 minutes) said, "What is that an up armored possum?" Yep I watch the History and Military channel around them.

Realistically that's all an armadillo is.

That's what we called 'em growing up down South. Love all critters, but armadillos kind of gross me out. Guess I can admire them from a distance. They carry Hansen's disease, ya know; I wouldn't care to touch one.

me and lick the back of my leg! The dogs didn't know what to make of it.

They like to claw in the dirt a lot and I didn't know they couild adapt to living indoors, never imagined this.

Thanks, OS!

It felt more like a quick tickle than a real licking like a dog would do.

But with the skunks, it was their attitude that put them at risk. Just felt that stink was a good defense for everything. Lot of road pizza events out in the country. Miss it. Not the road pizza, but you know what I'm talking about...

Very sad and despairing story, in which the mantis is in a rut in the road, and a wagon wheel bears down on him. He can't get out of the way, and he uses his only defense, his strong arms. But it does him no good. And really, a motor vehicle isn't classified a lethal weapon for nothing in some cases. That is a lot of metal going fast, more than a little bit deadly to man or beast.

Where they can't see. Cars are out of their frame of references. Cars don't act like anything in their natural environment.

I never thought too much about armadillos, we don't have them here. Can you tell us more about him? Is he a baby or just little? Was he rescued?
Are they endangered, or are they adapting to human encroachment on their habitat like raccoons are around here?
