She actually looks like she did actually work for a living.

Most Republican women don't look that way.

No, I'm not defending her, I just thing she's not as insane looking as a Bachmann or a Palin. She's just terribly undereducated, misinformed and delusional about what she can do as a U.S. Senator.

And of all the women in the US Senate, who would dare do this other than a woman that has been a senator for less than a month?

She is well credentialled in hogs, so represents her party well.

...Senator Ernst (jeez, it irks me to type that), may her career be as illustrious as that of another newbie-at-the-time, namely ex-governor-soon-to-be-jailbird Bob McDonnell. He had been in office a grand total of 11 days when he gave the Republican response, and look how well things turned out for him.

I'm not from Iowa, but I sure do wish that Tom Harkin had not retired.
