Keiser Report: Banksterism

Published on Jan 17, 2015

In this episode of the Keiser Report, Max Keiser and Stacy Herbert are in Mexico City and they find the so-called “failed state” looks a whole lot better in many regards than certain Western countries. They look at the role of the US drug war in creating the ultra-violence which has led to the headlines that caused the perception of a failed state in Mexico. In the second half, Max interviews economist and journalist Guillermo Barba about Mexico’s unallocated gold reserves at the Bank of England, the failed state question and the future of the Mexican economy.

I have been paying attention to Max and Stacy long before they moved to RT. Where do you want us to get business news? FoxBusiness? CNBC? CNN? The Wall Street Journal?

At least you had some kind words to say about Thiom Hartmann a day or two ago.

I also feel informed by watching Abby Martin. Have you seen her coverage of the rip off of Detroit? This lady is not a mere "newsmodel". Even her recent critique of fluoridation, while I don't necessarily agree with what she said, at least presented some up-to-date facts and studies. While after watching it it I still think the American communities should continue fluoridation programs, it was still worth the time and far more worthy of any consideration to anything the Birchers had to say on the subject a half century ago.

Finally, I will repeat what I said on another thread about RT this week. I pay attention to some of the content from RT, and I still think the best thing the Russian people can do for themselves is make a lamppost ornament out of Vladimir Putin.

I appreciate your stance and we have no real argument. Respectfully I don't think RT is a reasonable source of info and can't agree re Martin (especially re fluoride, she is trafficking in debunked stuff, see updated OP ).

I think there are many alternatives to RT re business. Democracy Now, for example, or Matt Taibbi's reports.

And while I appreciate that you find some utility there, I am against posting RT videos specifically for the reasons that we agree on re Putin--generally RT videos are posted on DU by a handful of Putin sympathizers in order to promote the Kremlin's POV. There's a reason RT is not allowed in LBN. More replies to your concerns here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/1017238401#post14

Would you propose a ban on information from international sources that Americans have a right to view?

You do realize that "RT America" is carried by U.S. Cable Companies and available on the other internet connectivity devices. Would you support BANNING the "People's Access" to RT Amerca or other news that they can pay for to access on their Cable or Internet?

Would you be in favor of banning access to Americans viewing and wanting to discuss International News that may have other viewpoints that you might find personally distasteful? Is that what you hope for?

Isn't one of the the prominent points of the "FREEDOM's" we in the West promote around the World to promote allowing People in developing nations around the world to have Access to Outside Information so that they can be informed citizens? Why do you not trust the viewer or reader to be able to make up their own minds about information they seek from available sources particularly here in America on a site filled with well informed people such as "Democratic Underground"?

In case anyone else out there needs reminding, here's the thread from 4 months ago where you tried to pull the same trick while admitting/pretending total ignorance of what's going on in Putin's Russia, thereby exposing yourself as a rather brazen Putin apologist: http://www.democraticunderground.com/1017220672#post7

So don't pretend to care about free speech

is US's fault. What did I miss, RT?

If Mexico is doing great compared to "certain Western countries" (isn't Mexico in the west?), why are Mexicans are trying to go North by the tens of thousands?

My god the cognitive dissonance is strong with this one. Thx Keiser, RT
