4. I have a problem with that too, and the fact that he grouped police unions . . .

with the traditional union movement.

Police unions are an entirely different animal — in fact, police have been used to bust heads at many, many, many union protests historically.

7. You're right about Faux viewers, but Maher should have . . .

at the slight chance that a Faux viewer was watching and at the even slighter chance that said Faux viewer would understand the distinction.

i'm betting even some regular viewers aren't that aware of the difference and how cops are sometimes used to suppress traditional union activity.

Sometimes it's worth giving accurate, critical info before going for the joke.

He's feeding a false narrative with that comment and it wasn't remotely necessary to his point. He was just spouting ignorance. We will reap what we have sown regarding an informed populace in this country. Idiocracy is coming.

They water it with ignorance and falsehoods every day, every hour. Look what the Fox "News" anchor said about Birmingham England, for example.

Hysterical, in part because it's truthful, but hysterical on it's own merit. Funny is funny.

PD's have had RW operatives and free-useful-idiots in their ranks for quite some time now with the sole intention of busting up their unions. That IS the goal.

11. I wouldn't be the slightest bit surprised to find that the ultimate goal is to destroy the union.

What better way than to make the unions look completely unreasonable by promoting the kind of actions they took at the funeral. There are RW operatives, everywhere, all over the nation, engaged in nefarious wrong doing. I don't think I am being slightest bit paranoid in saying this—just realistic.

14. It's always been how it's done since Nixon

Passive infiltration, red-headed bastard step-child of Opportunistic.

Instead of pretending to be a part of the group and covertly sabotaging in a pro-active manner, which is far riskier in getting caught - the agenda is dormant until the right opportunity to exploit comes by itself, then the sabotage moves forward by pretending to be a solution. Very effective in non-detection when everyone else is focused on "goddamn politicians/jews/n*ggers" or what ever the issue is being exploited.

Affirmative Action was signed in by Nixon for a reason and we all know it wasn't out of the kindness of he and Henry's hearts. Like all Republican-signed initiatives - the devil's always in the results via the details, rather than the details by itself.
