They have ‘no-go zones.’ If you’re non-Muslim, you’re not allowed. No police, not even the fire department if there’s a fire. Sharia courts have been allowed to be established. Prayer rugs in just about every hotel. Is this a major mistake, made by France, Europe in general? Some European countries (I'm thinking UK and France at least) have attracted immigrants from their former colonies. The colonial era disrupted the existing cultures and economic structures in those colonies and is one of the causes of the migrations we see today.

I can understand the RWers' anxieties to a certain extent because western governments' policies do exacerbate a lot of these problems, including conservative governments.

IMO I think there is a deliberate divide and conquer policy by western goverments both at home and abroad (and again that often includes conservative politicians and governments exacerbating the problems that conservatives complain about).

Their thinking must be that if the citizens are all afraid and fighting against each other then that keeps us distracted from noticing what the 1%ers are doing.
