"St. Louis County prosecuting attorney Robert McCulloch knowingly placed witnesses who were not telling the truth in front of grand jurors investigating this summers police officer-involved shooting death of Michael Brown, according to a radio interview he gave Friday.
After nearly a month of silence following the the grand jurys decision not to indict Ferguson police officer Darren Wilson, McCulloch told St. Louis radio station KTRS 550 AM that some of the witnesses were clearly not telling the truth, but were allowed them to testify anyway.
Early on, I decided that anyone who claimed to have witnessed anything was gonna be presented to the grand jury, McCulloch said, noting that And I knew that no matter how I handled this, there would be criticism of it. So if I didnt put those witnesses on, then wed be discussing now why I didnt put those witnesses on, even though their statements were not accurate."

was turned were lying because of the media propaganda, so they don't really care if a witness supporting Wilson's story wasn't being truthful. Somehow they cancel each other out. Never mind the fact that witness 40 was the person who was cited most often to "debunk" all of the other eyewitness testimony.
There's also the notion that the eyewitness testimony that's in line with Dorian Johnson's account should be disregarded because Brown wasn't actually shot in the back. However, the fact that Brown wasn't shot in the back does not mean that Wilson didn't fire when his was back was turned. Why else would Brown run such a great distance from the vehicle and then immediately turn around? It sure as hell wasn't so that he could build up more momentum to "charge" Wilson.
This case, much like the Trayvon Martin case, shows what lengths people will go to lend credence to a ridiculous version of events if they're biased (consciously or subconsciously) against the party who isn't able to tell his side of the story. Both Wilson and Zimmerman's versions of events were clearly clumsily crafted stories to cover their asses after the fact, yet many people refuse to question their versions of events because they think that Brown and Martin were "thugs" who "got what they deserved."

The rightwing racists like the DA and the cops and the teaparty and the republican party and many at DU will use any lie that people believe as an excuse.
