Amazing woman rescues starving kittens from Walmart - You won't believe what she named them

Published on Jun 4, 2014
This poor Mama cat and her kittens were found starving, hiding in the back of a Walmart Garden Center. Amazing reddit user Leyley904 (http://www.reddit.com/user/Leyley904) came to the rescue and helped save their lives.

This is their story.

They weren't named after the employees who live in the Wal*Mart store's dumpster/shanty village? nt TheBlackAdder Dec 2014 #1

those who are endangered or who cannot fend for thmeselves.

But "amazing"?

What does that make me? And the many others who spend their time and hard earned money helping dogs, cats, and other animals who have bee abandoned and/or put at risk by the irresponsibility of those who didn't care or didn't understand that pet guardianship is a fifteen to twenty year committment.

I've not only rescued many cats, I've rescued three, three-week old abandoned kittens -- which meant bottle feeding around the clock for three weeks. Two were adopted and we kept one.

At one point, we had ten cats. We were down to five when Precious, a mostly feral cat, began coming around for meals. She has, after two years, finally come into the front hall to eat occasionally (but only if the door is left open behind her) and lets my husband pet and love on her (as long as he doesn't try to pick her up) and sniffs my finges. And then there is Blue, a white blue-eyed cat that someone dumped in front of our house (she was four or five months old) who I had up for adoption, but she isn't a very friendly kitty and is traumatized by the adoption day process of sitting in a cage, being stared at and petted by strangers; so it looks like we will keep her too.

Back up to seven cats and a rescue Shih Tzu with health problems.

My plans for retirement (very large pet food budget needed) are put off indefinitely.

I just meant if people thought that act of kindness is amazing, then we are setting the bar way to high just to do what should be everyday kindnesses to make this a better world.

If we want to talk amazing, here's a video of Edad. (I'm giving this its own OP, but sharing with you now.)
