TYT: Wall Street Launches Assault On Your Money

"Wall Street lobbyists are trying to secure taxpayer backing for many derivatives trades as part of budget talks to avert a government shutdown.

According to multiple Democratic sources, banks are pushing hard to include the controversial provision in funding legislation that would keep the government operating after Dec. 11. Top negotiators in the House are taking the derivatives provision seriously, and may include it in the final bill, the sources said.

The bank perks are not a traditional budget item. They would allow financial institutions to trade certain financial derivatives from subsidiaries that are insured by the Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. -- potentially putting taxpayers on the hook for losses caused by the risky contracts. Big Wall Street banks had typically traded derivatives from these FDIC-backed units, but the 2010 Dodd-Frank financial reform law required them to move many of the transactions to other subsidiaries that are not insured by taxpayers."* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

will be slipped into the CR at the last minute again. Their was some type of deal made over the summer. This and the pension change rules,BTW,will really hurt the UAW and many of the pensions that are covered by the Pension Recover Board. What are they some sixteen billion in the hole? Thanks for changing the Bankruptcy Laws.

They probably think they perform some useful function for society.

Well now that we have had our elections and after hearing Thom Hartmann and what he and TYT have said about this issue, it now looks that we will be asked to have our FDIC funds placed in jeopardy and the criminals that perpetuated the last crash will be and trying to get the blood out of the proverbial turnip to cover there shenanigans.
I am going to call my right wing republican congressman, and hear his spokesperson tell me that they will relay the message and then he will hang up and then I will see and hear how he will screw me and my family, because he doesn't really care, because he his a Club for Growth hypocrite and that this and who he is worried FOR.

You know, a targeted assassination with publicized intent and justification explained. After all, these sociopaths kill at will by their actions but keep their hands clean. They know they can play the political, legal, and media systems to never challenge them. They have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
If some individual made a concerted effort to hold them accountable by the most extreme method possible would it have an effect? Would the captains of finance and industry understand they were creating their own demise by trying to take too much? Could they understand that those they target for profit need to at least survive on what's left if not be content in their lives?
I tend to think they are beyond that hope. They have had too much for too long and truly feel they deserve it.
I know this post is provocative and could be considered inflammatory and will probably be flushed down the memory hole post haste but it is a serious question. By what means can we influence TPTB that affording the rest of us a reasonable life is in their best interest?
What's that line? "when peaceful revolution is made impossible, violent revolution is made inevitable"

We all hope for natural justice, of course.

One way or another it will come, as Nature does not
tolerate disequilibrium for long.

-who must be brought to swift and brutal justice. Remember, we haven't have an independent main stream media since 1996. The propaganda against anyone taking such actions against their betters will be most unfavorable.

Personally, if I were running the revolution, these assholes wouldn't be killed. Instead I'd take all their money away and send them off to forced labor camps somewhere; Let the punishment fit the crime. Let them see what it's like to bust their ass every single day just to have enough food to see them through the night.
