TYT: Elizabeth Warren Exiled Into Leadership Role That Never Existed Before

"Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., is joining Senate leadership after Senate Democrats created a new leadership position just for her.

In the new position as a strategic policy adviser to the DPCC, Warren will serve as a liaison to liberal groups to ensure they have a voice in leadership meetings and discussions, according to a source familiar with the role.

“I believe in what the Democrats are fighting for. You know Wall Street is doing very well. CEO's are bringing in millions more and families all across this country are struggling. We have to make this government work for the American people and that's what we're here to fight for,” Warren said in response to a question from ABC News about her new position. “I am grateful to the leader. I am grateful to the caucus to give me the chance to be part of that fight but that's what we're all going to be here doing every single day. That's what we're about.”

to explain to the rest of the leadership what the Democratic Party stands for, beyond opposing Republicans and getting re-elected. It seems pretty clear no one else in the leadership (including House, DNC, and White House) actually knows anymore.

It's funny. The headline here is exile. In other thread, it's a triumph. Eye of the beholder, I guess.

to coming into your home.

I hope that this new title is going to be used to provide even more protections to the consumer who need to brace themselves to the TPP vote most likely coming in Jan. It is not a trade bill. It is a new corporates right bill..

...as to the causes of Democrats losing Congress, I think the move will perplex some Americans and delude others into thinking 'Oh turns out I didn't need to vote anyway'.

Democrats are not OK. Third Way will rear its head again in 2 years and Warren's positions will be confined to Salon.com and Hillary Clinton speeches looking to bash someone on the Left.

She's a top earner. When she appears, the checkbooks come out. She's a real draw, even between the elections.

I think she's going to be a "voice." A loud, relentless, aggressive opposition voice (we are the minority party, come January, and that can be an interesting...not optimal, but interesting... position--if played right).

Good for her. Good for us.

They know that we (liberals / progressives) have a person that believes in her convictions and has spoken out in favor of us and or values and she has not backed down on those convictions to represent herself and us and when she realized that the Lakota Victory song was happening in the chamber on Keystone she stopped the call to order to let the song go forward that belies her heritage of being a Cherokee and I say to her and my brother and sisters (S'gi) and now we will have voice to defend us from the right wing calamity that is now shaping up in Congress and that is to dismantle everything that makes a nation strong------- yeah
