Holder: I Can’t Understand Why There’s A ‘Debate’ About Violence Against Women Act

Attorney General Eric Holder today called it “inconceivable” that Congress has not yet reauthorized the Violence Against Women Act. “For the life of me, I cannot begin to understand why this is something that is a debate within Congress,” he said, “It is inconceivable to me now that we are in the process of a debate about something that has proven so effective and is clearly so needed for the future. It must be passed, and it must be passed soon,” Holder said.

Elected by those allergic to the idea that women are...gasp...PEOPLE and that men do...what???...do commit violence against women!

or the VAWA opponents are running on a libertarian ideology and feel that more government is not really the solution to domestic violence,

or the "men's rights" activists who consider VAWA unfair to men because of the pre trial provisions against the accused or that no battered men's shelters exist...
