Ted Cruz is making news this week after referring to Net Neutrality as "Obamacare for the internet." After being absolutely shut down by Al Franken on the subject, Cruz dug in deeper by making even more insane claims about Net Neutrality. Ring of Fire's Farron Cousins discusses this.

Truth is though I've dealt with many intelligent people from Texas and many belligerent idiots. It just seems there's no in between.

That smart phone wasn't the product of de-regulation. It was the product of the GOVERNMENT stepping in and breaking up the Bell monopoly. Certainly the best- maybe the only- good thing Ronnie Raygun ever did. If not for that we'd probably all still be talking on rotary phones.
You know about monopolies, don't you Ted? They're the inevitable end result of unregulated capitalism. Eventually the little guys all go under because they can't compete with the big guys, and in the end you're left with one very big guy who controls it all. Kind of like the way the media has been going since 1996. But that's what you want, isn't it Ted? Based on their actions, it's clear to me that the Republicans' ultimate objective is a kind of neo-feudalism, where 1% owns everything and 95% of us are serfs, with a small management class in between. That's the Utopia, isn't it Ted?
