TYT: Canada Attacked - The Gun Law Role & The ‘Terrorism' Question

"A gunman attacked Canada's parliament on Wednesday, with gunfire erupting near a room where Prime Minister Stephen Harper was speaking, and a soldier was fatally shot at a nearby war memorial, jolting the Canadian capital.

The gunman in the parliament building was shot dead, and Harper was safely removed.

Canadian police said they could not "at this point" confirm whether the man who shot dead the soldier, who was guarding the National War Memorial in central Ottawa, was the same person who shortly afterwards attacked the parliament building.

Witnesses said a flurry of shots were fired after a gunman entered the parliament building, pursued by police."* The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur breaks it down.

employed "automatic" weapons. I can think if one: The North Hollywood shoot-out following a a bank robbery, many years ago. On a related note, has Canada banned semi-auto weapons, which is what you seemed confused about?
