Truly inspired by what I saw at the #PeoplesClimate march today. Together, we can solve this.

"This is way more than we were expecting" NYPD officer tells me at #PeopleClimate march. "But we'll keep roads closed as long as needed"

My daughters and I were there today, and wondered what it all looked like from above. Thanks for the birds-eye view!

Time to tax the industry & save our planet.
Give the tax $$ back to the passionate groups represented here today & just see what they could do.

This mission belongs to the people. We would do what our passion drives us, on behalf of the planet.

Imagine the world we could create!

The line extended along Central Park West from 59th Street up to 93rd Street. That's nearly two miles. And hours after the groups at the front set out, the ones at the rear were still waiting their turn.

I got to 58th Street and 8th Avenue at around 2:00. It was still packed with people pouring in, coming east to join the main march. I think the main march started moving around 12:00 (was scheduled to, anyway). So that is a great photo, but only part of the crowd that showed up. Well over half, I would guess, but by no means all.

And, incidentally, some of the nicest several hundred thousand people you would ever care to spend an afternoon with! The feeling was very positive and very focused, I felt.

The politicians don't either because those people in the street aren't a funded lobby.
