(10,495 posts)BP has lied to EVERYONE!!! They lied and said Feinberg was Independant, the judge later ruled that he was and is BP's bitch, I mean Representative. This was only after he had told everyone he was Independant and his finding was generally, "Well, you are missing document X, and Y, therefore all you are entitled is 5k for the loss of your livelihood as an Oysterman. This went on for hundreds of thousands of claims that they tricked in signing away their rights for a pittance. Turns out they were only getting warmed up. BP came up with the $600,000,000 "Common Benefit Fund" for attorneys on the Plaintiff Steering Committee (PSC). They only get the money if almost all of the victims get trapped in the Class Action where they cannot back out, waive their right to trial against BP, and the class settlement has to go all the way through to the end. They lied to everyone about how fast it would work and how much money this would pay victims. 75% of the victims are being denied and the ones getting paid are getting cents on the dollar. The PSC will not fight to throw out the settlement because then they don't get the $600 million dollars. Mark my words, BP will fight to have the settlement thrown out when it is almost through screwing over the last of the victims just so they can also go back on their agreement to pay the PSC!
EVERYTHING IN THIS COUNTRY IS CORRUPT!!!
