Papantonio: Progressive Activism Stopped Walgreens' Tax Dodging
The drug retail chain Walgreens recently backed away from plans to reincorporate themselves as a foreign company to avoid taxes. The public outcry that originally emerged after news of the company's "inversion" plan began is mostly responsible for this change of heart, and may indicate a significant change in the power of movement-building in America.
