Ferguson Police Release Video Allegedly Showing Michael Brown in "Strong Arm Robbery"

I am not trying to smear Michael Brown's image. I just think it would be good for everyone to be able to see the video released by the police and be able to make up their own minds.

Why put the original choice back on the counter and reach for something else? Did he then drop what he had reached for? Why was only one box reported stolen? He grabbed more than one. Was the clerk refusing to sell to an underage person? Lots of questions and no answers. I also wonder what happened to the red cap between his exit and (assuming it is the same person) his shooting.

But, whatever this video shows or doesn't show, it has nothing to do with the police stop (for jaywalking) and subsequent shooting.

It looked like he picked up his change that the clerk threw on the floor, or something. I saw the friend put the cigars back on the counter. The cigars that were placed there by the clerk. I can't tell, but he may have paid for the ones he took. I cannot see a theft, just an angry clerk who tried to stop him from leaving. He got pushed to the side. I never let people stop me from leaving either.
Btw, we never place tobacco products on te counter until they show ID AND PAY. Then we can give it to them. Otherwise you get a red card.

that I didn't need a sarcasm thing, because NO ONE would actually think this way. I underestimate the stupidity of the people sometimes.

Wow, just wow.

Something happened that led to pushing, etc, but without sound it's hard to tell.

When they entered, and when they're leaving. No video of him paying for the cigars.

Did that happen?

Just woke up so I'm catching up right now...

And regardless... he was UNARMED so there was no reason for the cop to kill him.

I'm quite certain that's the intention.

Just as the media said "when Brown died' rather than "when Brown was killed". He was killed no matter what else is true. He didn't just die on his own.

Armed robbery would be robbery with a weapon.

Strong arm robbery is robbery using unarmed force, threats or intimidation.

If you are the police, do you prefer:

Altercation while shoplifting
or
Strong Armed Robbery

I would imagine 99% of the population sees the word Armed and immediately thinks Brown has a gun.
And to classify it as Strong Armed is a bit of a stretch. I don't know what happened, but the store owner tried to block him leaving,
so he pushed him out of his way. Probably something I would have done at that age had someone blocked my exit.

Withdraws the assertion that the stop had anything to do with this crime.

So the only reason for posting this video is an exercise in victim blaming.

If you watch the video, you will see that what is happening in that picture is the larger man is pushing the clerk out of his way after the clerk tries to stop him from leaving the store. The larger man was not taking a box of cigars off of the clerk, the man already had the cigars after getting them by the cash register. It is pretty obvious why the Police Chief clipped that picture from the video, as opposed to just releasing the video.

And BTW..Where's the ME's report? How many bullet holes were in the body? Entry front or back?

I'm no video expert, so take with a grain of salt, but, there appear to have been about 6 witnesses to what happened (not counting M. Brown and his friend. Have they been interviewed? Anyone tried to find them?

The first person wearing BB cap who comes into view at the counter appears to be shorter than MB, who appears next.(Or maybe I'm wrong about this part, but look at where the top of his head is in relation to that drink machine). The first clerk to go behind the counter is a woman in a red shirt. Anyone interview her?

Then there's a man with long pants and wearing a white tee with a neck chain. Anyone try to find him?

How about the woman in the red pants who appears to be accompanied by the little boy in the blue shirt. The woman notices what MB has dropped on the floor. What is her story? If MB was shot soon after leaving the store, she would have still been in the vicinity.

What about the individual holding the door while the altercation with the clerk (?) is taking place. Where is he? What is his version?

What about the short kid with MB? What happened to him? Did he run away? Shouldn't someone be trying to find him?

Seems like the police have the case all wrapped up, already. Interesting.
