(33 posts)Look for Steve Earl, who maintained my sanity through the Bush years with his album "The Revolution Starts Now!". There's Eliza Gylkinson (check out "Man of God" - a blistering indictment of W Bush),Tom Morello (who sang "This Land is Your Land" at the NY Occupy scene), David Rovics - ( who has a song about EVERY worthy cause). Neil Young and Bruce Springsteen are still performers with a conscience. Ry Cooder recently did "No bankers left behind" about the Wall Street bailouts...It's not so much the artists missing as the audience is asleep!
