also spread the knowledge of sign language along with giving people with hearing disabilities more livelihood opportunities.

I've studied ASL, think it should be more prevalent since it's universal, not to mention helpful to know. And, like any language, if you don't use it, you lose it.

I used to interact with deaf passengers when I worked at National Airport, because of Gallaudet College being there. I learned some very basic signs, and the deaf were extremely appreciative that I did so. I eventually became friends with two hearing people who were interpreters for the deaf and it was fascinating hanging out with them.

where they don't hire hearing people. I bet it would be challenged in court.

this would be a major threat to hearing people's rights, considering the inherent economic disadvantages faced by people that can't hear.

I just remembered something I always thought was funny on so many levels.

Anybody here ever seen the "News for the hearing impaired" on the old Sat night Live ?

That was a funnier skit before I became hard of hearing.

And to answer your question yes, they put sign language on the menus and cheat cards as well for other expressions.
