(205,467 posts)I've studied ASL, think it should be more prevalent since it's universal, not to mention helpful to know. And, like any language, if you don't use it, you lose it.

(23,156 posts)I used to interact with deaf passengers when I worked at National Airport, because of Gallaudet College being there. I learned some very basic signs, and the deaf were extremely appreciative that I did so. I eventually became friends with two hearing people who were interpreters for the deaf and it was fascinating hanging out with them.

And to answer your question yes, they put sign language on the menus and cheat cards as well for other expressions.
