But with the help of enough dark money from the Kochs and other conservative billionaires, they just might seize power, and they will try to govern from these misguided "principles", as best they can, taking the country down the road towards total disaster... But heck - even that's OK for the dark money billionaires, because they can then buy up the whole ruined country for pennies on the dollar. I lived in Romania after the fall of communism, and saw these same "shmecker" or scam tactics played out over there. Little did I imagine back then that I might live to see the day in which my country would sink so low that those very same tactics might be played out over here as well.

Mike Malloy hits the nail on the head in this moving, emotional rant. By placing himself in the shoes of the Central American children, he shows us that he has a better understanding of the Golden Rule than the right wing Christian "greeting party" that was there to kick them out and send them back home. And maybe even a greater understanding of karma than most, as well.
