(3,544 posts)The MSM, is mostly hype, lies and bullshit. Both sides are so slanted, it makes for idiocy and ignorance. They dwell on crap for hours, days, weeks, months on end. Actually, it's quite boring and depressing how people act on camera. And then add the drama and then more lies. No one knows who to believe anymore. If I was in that carefree age group, I wouldn't listen to MSM either.
Colbert and Stewart get right to the point, make some humor about it, and move on. Today's younger mindset is "short, sweet, and simple". And they don't really care about Politics. As I think back to that age, I didn't care much about politics either. But then, there was no one like Stewart and Colbert. As you get older, you do get smarter. You start paying attention and become more aware and involved in what is actually going on around you, and how it affects your future, and your children's future. The old saying, the older I get, the smarter I get, is true.
The trick is to get them out to vote. If they are now listening to these two, then I would think this has to be good for the democratic turnout next election. Hey I'm almost 60 now and can't do without my daily fix of Colbert and Stewart. The DVR is a wonderful thing.
